Transverse energy flow in 10 GeV/nucleon 28Si nucleus collisions

Description

Transverse energy distributions have been measured for collisions of 10 GeV/nucleon Si with targets of Al, Cu, and Pb using a combination of a NaI wall and a uranium/copper calorimeter. Very large stopping is observed, with continuous evolution of angular distributions of reaction products for the increasing mass of the target
