Description

The aim of this lecture is to put the generally accepted view of QCD to a theoretical test of internal consistency by trying to determine whether perturbation theory does represent a stable dynamical realization of the QCD lagrangian. The question we wish to answer is then: is there in QCD a finite length d such that for light-cone distances vertical strokex2vertical stroke≤d2 the physics is asymptotically free. (orig./HSI)
