Relaxation of totally symmetric vibration of uranyl group in uranyl nitrate hexahydrate solutions
Creators
Description
On the basis of the analysis of band contours in spontaneous Raman spectra the vibrational relaxation of the totally symmetric uranyl group vibration in aqueous and DMSO solutions of uranyl nitrate hexahydrate is investigated. The vibrational dephasing is found to be the main formation mechanism of the investigated vibrational contours. The stochastic model of the phase relaxation with account of the possible simultaneous presence of homogeneous and inhomogeneous broadening describes well the vibrational motion in the present solutions
