Description

The computerized simulation method is used for studying the beam effective emittance nonlinear growth due to the beam nonlinear and nonstationary interaction with the accelerating system. This effect is at its maximum for the bunch peripheral particles, shaping the beam halo. The task is solved in two stages. At first one the coherent dynamics of the point bunches is calculated and thereafter the halo dynamics, which contributes to the excitation in the accelerator, is studied

Abstract (Russian)

Метод компьютерного моделирования используется для изучения нелинейного возрастания эффективного эмиттанса пучка вследствие нелинейного и нестационарного взаимодействия пучка и ускоряющей системы. Этот эффект максимален для периферийных частиц сгустков, образующих гало пучка. Задача решается в два этапа. Сначала рассчитывается когерентная динамика точечных сгустков, а затем изучается динамика гало, которая вносит малый вклад в возбуждение поля в ускорителе
