Description
A simple argument leads us to predict scaling of deep-inelastic e-N scattering in the variable x/sub M/ = x/(1 + 4x2M2/ Q2)/sup 1/2/. We find that the e-N production structure functions νW2 and W1 equivalent (1 - 4x/sub M/ M2/ Q2)/sup 1/2/W1 of both proton and neutron exhibit very good x/sub M/ scaling. An explanation of the small-x μ-p data is beyond our approach
