Fundamentals of X-ray fluorescence analysis
Description
The paper deals with the fundamentals of X-ray fluorescence analysis, which are of importance for the practical work of analysts. Among others, origin and properties, absorption and reflection of X-rays are mentioned, and the detectors used to detect them are described. The paper will give hints for error search in the equipment and for the removal of inaccuracies due to the treatment or the composition of the sample. (RB)

Der Artikel behandelt die fuer den praktisch arbeitenden Analytiker wichtigen Grundlagen des Roentgenfluoreszenzverfahrens. So werden Entstehung und Eigenschaften, Absorption und Reflexion von Roentgenstrahlen behandelt und schliesslich die zum Nachweis der Strahlung gebraeuchlichen Detektoren beschrieben. Die Ausfuehrungen sollen Hinweise fuer die Fehlersuche am Geraet und zur Beseitigung von Ungenauigkeiten geben, die ihre Ursache in der Aufbereitung oder in der unterschiedlichen Zusammensetzung der Probe haben.
