Description

The influence of the structure of granular medium on transmission and scattering of X-rays and β-particles has been studied. The stochastic models of transport have been applied for mathematical description of observed physical phenomena. The models have been experimentally verified and used for explanation of matrix effect as well as for radiometric analysis. It has been shown that matrix effect due to chemical content deviations depends not only on individual absorption coefficients but also on individual absorption coefficients but also on grains dimensions distribution in materials. 49 refs, 28 figs, 6 tabs
