Phonons in superconducting Nb-Zr alloys: Experiment and theory

Description
Measurements of the phonon density of states curves F(ν) for Nb, Nb75Zr25 and Nb20Zr80 are presented, obtained from inelastic neutron scattering experiments. For comparison theoretical F(ν) curves have been calculated microscopically. A significant softening with increasing Zr content is observed. (orig.)
