The role of nuclear energy within future energy supply
Description
Projections for the future global energy demand (sub-divided into regions) are presented and the possible supply role of nuclear energy is examined. Estimates of electricity generation by nuclear power illustrate this role. A brief description of the methodology used by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for making energy demand projections on a regional basis is also presented. (author)
