High-sensitive electrostatic passive monitor for environmental radon measurement
Description
Recent developments of electrostatic integrating radon monitor are briefly reviewed. It is easy to obtain calibration factors of higher than 1 tracks cm-2(Bq·m-3·h)-1 by the improvement of chamber shape. Methods for automatic counting of α-tracks and the discrimination of species of daughter nuclides using CR-39 detector are explained. Problems on electrostatic collection of daughters to obtain high sensitivity are discussed. (author)
