Efficiency enhancement of plastic track detectors by solar u.v. radiations
Description
Experiments have been carried out to study the role of u.v. radiation from the sun and that obtained from the laboratory fluorescent tubes in the enhancement of track registration efficiency of Makrofol N and LR-115 plastic detectors. It has been observed that both the above u.v. sources (particularly the sun) are quite effective in the enhancement of the latent damage. (author)
