A drift chamber for the CMD-2 detector at VEEP-2M
- 1. AN SSSR, Novosibirsk. Inst. Yadernoj Fiziki
Description
A cylindrical drift chamber is designed for the Cryogenic magnetic detector (CMD-2) at the VEPP-2M electron-positron collider. The chamber has 512 signal wires which are arranged in 80 jet-type cells. A spatial resolution better than 100 μm has been achieved with prototype for tracks of cosmic particles. The second coordinate is determined by the charge division method with an accuracy of 0.5%. (orig.)
