Investigation into conditions of photometric determination of indium with 2-(3,4-dioxyphenylazo)-thiazole
Description
Indium complexing with 2-(3.4-dioxyphenylazo)-thiazole (TAP) is studied. The complex light absorption is maximum at 570 nm, the molar extinction coefficient is (4.2+-0.2)x104. A method is developed for determining indium using TAP in copper and aluminium alloys. The most reproducible results could be obtained, using TAP, especially at a low indium concentration
