Ionising radiation control
Description
In this paper, the author emphasizes the there is a mean to estimate radiation doses in persons by chromosome aberration: biological monitoring is possible. Dicentrics in peripheric lymphocytes are very sensitive to exposure, the dose-effect curves are well established, and the method is applicable even many years after the irradiation. It is very important that at least the physicians know this for example for compensation cases and cases of questionable exposures. And this knowledge is so important, because the study must be done before application of cytostatica and, of course, before radiation therapy
