Inelastic threshold effects in NN-scattering

Description
A previous relativistic NN-NΔ coupled channel quasipotential model has been extended to include πd channels also. The effects on NN observables are investigated. Marked improvements for 1D2 phase shift predictions and several inelastic observables are found near the pion production threshold. For elastic πd scattering the model exhibits a string energy dependence of the vector analysing power in accordance with experimental data. (orig.)
