Preparation of the orthorhombic YBa2(Cu1-chiFechi)3Oy in the wide composition range of chi and its superconducting properties
Description
The compound YBa2(Cu1-chiFechi)3Oy was prepared by reduction at 8300C in N2 gas followed by oxidation below 4000C in O2 gas. By this heat treatment, the orthorhombic phase was successfully stabilized in the wide composition range (0≤chi<0.15), and the superconducting properties were examined by resistivity measurement. This orthorhombic phase shows the superconducting transition near 90Κ even or chi=0.12. the stabilization of the orthorhombic phase seems to be due to the distribution of Fe ions in the Cul-0 planes
