Measuring the Auger electron yield coefficients for Cr,Mn,Ni,Cu

Description

The measuring results of Auger-elctron Asub(L)(E) yield coefficient for Cr, Mn, Ni and Cu associated with L-shell ionization under the effect of electron beam with E energy are presented. The diagram and method of measuring are briefly described. Asub(L)(E) dependences in the 700-2000 eV energy range of primary beam are measured. Dependence of the maximal Asub(L)(E) is investigated. It turns out to be the induction proportional to Esub(L)sup(-x) in the 550 eV < Esub(L) < 1 keV energy range, where Esub(L) - ionization energy of L-shell. The x degree parameter is the Esub(L) function for the L-shell. x=2.60 for the investigated energy range
