Description
The equation for the determination of any element contents by the standard-background method is derived which takes into account the polychromatic nature of primary radiation, spectral composition of the recorded background signal and the dependence of scattering ability of a multicomponent sample on its chemical cmposition on variations. As comparison standards peak intensities of primary characteristic radiation coherently and noncoherently scattered by the sample are used which are located on the short-wave side of the absorption edge of the A-element responsible for analytical line fluorescence. otherwise, a coherent scattering peak is more preferable to be used. The technique for tungsten determination in intermediate products and enrichment concentrates is developed
