Peculiarities of γ'-phase particle coagulation in directed crystallized γ/γ'-MeC eutectics during isothermal annealings

Description

Kinetics γ'-phase particle coagulation in directed nickel γ/γ'-NbC eutectics is studied. It is experimentally and theoretically shown that in the field of residual thermal stresses in γ/γ' matrix at high-temperature annealing cuboid morphology γ'-phase particles coagulate into planes oriented perpendicular to filament-like NbC crystals. As a result mechanical properties and heat resistance of eutectic alloy matrix are increased
