The article shows some aspects of re-extension of the operation of the VVER-440 reactor with the example of power Unit 4 of the Novovoronezh NPP. The authors analyze the existing problems of the power unit with VVER-440, show possible ways to solve the identified shortcomings, as well as the final state of the updated power unit
