Moessbauer and EXAFS investigations of the local atomic structure of Fe-Sn nanocrystalline alloys

Description
The results of studies on disordered mechano-activated Fe1-xSnx alloys with 0 < x < 50 at. % Sn are presented. The concentration dependence of the H-barFe(x) average effective magnetic field indicates a number of peculiarities at 12-15 and 25 at. % Sn. The model of local atomic structure based on the assumption on changes of the effective coordination number in the nearest coordination contact of the Fe atom making it possible to explain the H-barFe(x) behaviour was proposed. Treatment of the EXAFS-spectra of the Fe K-edge was carried out with the purpose of obtaining structural information to confirm this model

Представлены результаты исследования разупорядоченных механоактивированных сплавов Fe1-xSnx с 0 < x < 50 ат. % Sn. Концентрационная зависимость среднего эффективного магнитного поля H-barFe(x) показывает ряд особенностей при 12-15 и 25 ат. % Sn. Предложена модель локальной атомной структуры, основанная на предположении об изменении эффективного координационного числа в ближайшем координационном контакте атома Fe, позволившая объяснить поведение H-barFe(x). Для подтверждения этой модели проводилась обработка EXAFS-спектров К-края Fe с целью извлечения структурной информацииAdditional details
