Description
Thermoluminescence (TL) phosphors of BaSO4:Eu,Dy with different dopant concentrations are synthesized using the conventional chemical route technique and the sample having highest TL intensity is selected for further investigation. XRD data shows orthorhombic structure. TL glow curves of the annealed phosphor after different doses of gamma irradiations (250,500,750,1000 and 1500 Gy) are recorded . The main glow peak has a peak temperature around 450 K. There is another less intense TL peak at 542 K. Thermally cleaned TL glow curves of the phosphor annealed at 600 deg C for LH are also recorded. Computerised glow curve deconvolution (CGCD) technique is applied to extract kinetic parameters of TL peaks present in the glow curve. (author)
