Results of activities of the State Office for Nuclear Safety and radiation monitoring across the Czech Republic in 2017
Description
The following topics are covered in detail: Nuclear safety of nuclear facilities; Spent fuel and radioactive waste management, decommissioning; Nuclear material transport and physical protection of nuclear materials; Radiation protection; Emergency preparedness; Nationwide radiation monitoring network; Non-proliferation of nuclear weapons; Public information; and Institutions providing technical support. No inadmissible radioactivity leaks from nuclear power plants or other nuclear facilities occurred in 2017 and the key radiation protection requirements applicable to institutions handling radiation sources were complied with. The Czech Republic met all its obligations following from the relevant international treaties to which the country has acceded. (orig.)
