String theory on the one dimensional lattice

Description
In this letter we study string theory in one dimension starting from the discretized approximation using lattice regularization. The sum over the surfaces with different genus can be formally done and the results can be written in a closed form. It seems that the lattice regularization does not change qualitatively the results. (orig.)
