Nuclear scattering of deuterons at 4.3; 6.3 and 8.9 GeV/c

  • 1. Joint Inst. for Nuclear Research, Dubna (USSR)

Description

The momentum spectra of secondary deuterons from 4.3, 6.3 and 8.9 GeV/c deuteron interactions with carbon, aluminium, bismuth nuclei, 1H, 2H, 6Li, 7Li are measured at an angle of 103 mr. The results are analyzed in the multiple nucleon-nucleon scattering model. The observed momentum spectra of deuterons from dC collisions have been qualitatively fitted under the assumption that collisions of relativistic deuterons with nuclei are considerably contributed by process in which the nucleons of a nucleus involved in the interaction with an incident deuteron are emitted in a bound state
