Appearance and implications of extranodal lymphoma

Description

Lymphomas are primarily a malignancy of the lymph nodes. However, 18% - 25% of patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma are first seen with disease localized to a primary extraodal site. In an even greater percentage an extranodal site is involved as part of disseminated lymphoma. This exhibit illustrates the spectrum of CT and US findings of involvement by non-Hodgkin lymphoma at the less common extranodal sites. The prognosis and treatment by site are presented
