Description
Four key techniques of single tube wide-range dose meter based on Time-to-Count technique were proposed. They are High-voltage loading, pulse detection, waiting time measure and mean waiting time calculation. Based on this theory, a wide-range dose meter specimen machine which adopts homemade GM tube J305 is developed. Examine result shows that the specimen machine can response linearly under the dose rate 0.6 Gy/h, and it's upper limit of detection is higher than 5 Gy/h, under the condition that the plateau time error and pulse testing delay error are not corrected. It shows that the linear range and upper limit of J305 is extended more than 100 times, and we can enhance the linear range by correcting the time error including the plateau time error and pulse testing delay error.
