Description

In order to understand the regularity of neutron distribution produced in the heavy ion reactions, the experimental measurements of the neutron fluence rate, energy and angular distributions have been completed with threshold neutron activation detectors for the reactions of 50 MeV/u 18O-ion on Be, Cu and Au thick targets. The experiment was carried out on HIRFL. The four threshold reactions, 27Al(n,α)24Na, 19F(n,2n)18F, 12C(n,2n)11C and 27Al(n,4p6n)18F, were used to measure the neutrons with energy greater than 7 MeV, 11 MeV, 20 MeV and 50 MeV respectively. Experiment data indicate that all neutron angular distributions were peaked in the forward direction
