Plant for irradiating fluid products
Description
Sewage sludge flows through a duct, in which sources of radiation, e.g. Co 60 or Cs 137, are situated. The duct with the sources of radiation is arranged vertically in the concrete pond filled with water and flow is from the bottom upwards. In order to protect against radiation, the sources of radiation are situated sufficiently deep in the pond and are accessible from inside the pond. The duct has a widened crossection compared with the incoming pipe in the area of the sources of radiation, and the incoming pipe is situated centrally in the duct. (PW)

Klaerschlamm durchstroemt einen Kanal, in dem Strahlungsquellen, z.B. Co 60 oder Cs 137, angeordnet sind. Der Kanal mit den Strahlungsquellen ist vertikal in dem mit Wasser gefuellten Betonbecken angeordnet und wird von unten nach oben durchstroemt. Zwecks Strahlungsschutz sind die Strahlungsquellen ausreichend tief unten im Wasserbecken angeordnet und vom Innern des Beckens her zugaenglich. Der Kanal hat im Bereich der Strahlungsquellen einen gegenueber dem Zufuehrungsrohr erweiterten Querschnitt, das Zufuehrungsrohr ist zentral im Kanal angeordnet. Das Produkt passiert vor der Bestrahlung eine Heizeinrichtung und wird mit Luft oder Sauerstoff beaufschlagt. Oberhalb des Kanals ist eine verschiebbare Bleiplatte angeordnet. (PW)Files
