Description
Geoengineering refers to technologies aiming at controlling the Earth's climate, in order to fight the Earth' global warming caused by human activities, in particular by the emission of greenhouse gases. They can be divided into two classes: management of solar radiation and extraction of atmospheric CO2. The article reviews these various technologies and analyzes their limitations and risks. On designe par geo-ingenierie un ensemble de technologies qui visent a controler le climat terrestre dans le but de lutter contre le rechauffement climatique de la Terre, lequel est cause par les activites humaines, en particulier par les emissions de gaz a effet de serre. On distingue deux grandes familles: la gestion du rayonnement solaire et l'extraction du CO2 atmospherique. Dans cet article, nous passons en revue ces diverses technologies et analysons leurs limites et leurs risques. (auteur)Additional details
