Personnel radiation load in diagnostic applications of sup(99m)Tc and sup(113m)In radionuclides in nuclear medicine
Description
The relative distribution of exposure to ionizing radiation during certain basic operations using radiopharmaceuticals labelled with sup(99m)Tc was measured on paraffin dummy hands with thermoluminescent LiF and CaF2 dosemeters manufactured by Victoreen, USA. The exposure of the fingers was measured during the preparation and application of various types of radiopharmaceuticals labelled with sup(99m)Tc and sup(113m)In. The integral exposure was observed of the fingers of personnel preparing and applying these pharmaceuticals over a period of one month in correlation with the number of examined patients and the quantity of processed radioactivity.
