Temperature-waves in connection with drift type instabilities in a Q-plasma
Creators

Description
Experimental investigations were made to substantiate the existence of periodic fluctuations of the electron temperature accompanying drift type instabilities in a Q-device. Preliminary results of measurements are reported. For all cases measured, the normalized temperature fluctuations T/T0 were found to be smaller than the normalized plasma density and floating potential fluctuations n/n0 and e phi /kT0. The experimental results are related to existing theory.
