On mechanism of light sum storage in dosimetric crystals on linear stage
- 1. Irkutskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)
Description
Thermostimulated luminescence and conductivity (TSL and TSC) of LiF crystals after X-ray excitation at room temperature have been investigated. It has been found that in the region of linear increase of the stored total light with the irradiation dose the electron component of TSC is not present. In LiF-Mg crystal the different chromaticity of TSL peaks 80 and 110 deg C has been discovered. The obtained results are explained in terms of the model using the idea that defects have excited states of big radius. Owing to this assumption a substantial overlapping of electron states of different centres is possible, i.e. the formation of molecular orbital and consequently the pair localization of electrons and holes
