Solitons in classical O3-invariant field theory in one space dimension

Using the correspondence between classical O3-invariant field theory in one space dimension and sine-Gordon field theory, the O3-invariant field is shown to decay into solitons in analogy to the decay of the sine-Gordon field. (orig.)
