Negative-charge production by hydrogen atoms in Ar, Kr, Xe, CO, CO2, and CH4 in the energy range 80 to 2000 eV
Description
Experimental cross sections for negative-charge production by neutral hydrogen atoms in the energy range 80eV–2keV in Ar, Kr, Xe, CO, CO2, and CH4 are reported. In all cases, a smooth increase of the cross section with energy is observed, from values of about 10−17 cm2 at 80 eV to a few times 10−16 cm2 at 2kev.
