Aligment of angular momentum in collective bands of negative parity in the actinides

Description
A method is proposed for determination of moment of inertia and aligned angular momentum, describing the rotational band spectra, distorted by the Coriolis interaction. The method is based upon numerical integration of an equation, in which the experimental values of the energy intervals between the band states are written as a function of the angular velocity of the core rotation nad the aligned angular momentum. Such an approach enables one to detect effects of the core polarization. The procedure has been applied to analysis of octupole O- bands in actinides; various polarization effects arising at excitation of the octupole vibrations, are discussed
