Average partial radiation widths of neutron resonances calculated by semi classical description
Description
The semiclassical method of calculating average partial radiation widths is presented. The values of average partial radiation widths obtained for E1 and M1 transitions to the ground and first excited states have been compared with experimental data for about 50 nuclei. The calculations reproduce the general tendency in the dependence of widths on neutron number of the target nucleus and predict sharp maxima at neutron magic numbers. (author)
