Development of a software system (STA: Seamless Thinking Aid) for distributed parallel scientific computing

The Center for Promotion of Computational Science and Engineering in JAERI establishes the science technical computing environment STA as a part of R and D on common basic technology on parallel processing. The STA targets for a new style of scientific computation called the distributed parallel scientific computing, and is an environment supporting a seamless thinking of users by realizing lubrication of a series of works from development of program to its practice and result analysis and reduction of consumed time. The Center also establishes some distributed parallel applications on the STA to carry out their practice evaluation. STA and a distributed parallel application established on STA were introduced.
