Absorbing materials in regulating components of NIIAR research reactor

Description
The results of materials testing as well as design features and operation conditions of regulating rods in SM-2, RBT-6 and Mir reactors are considered. Pellets of dysprosium monotitanate dysprosium dititanate, dysprosium oxide base concentrate, cadmium and hafnium were used as absorbing materials. Hafnium is noted to display the highest radiation and corrosion resistance

Приведены результаты материаловедческих исследований, а также рассмотрены конструктивные особенности и условия эксплуатации органов регулирования в реакторах СМ-2, РБТ-6 и Мир. В качестве поглощающего материала в исследуемых пэлах применялись таблетки монотината диспрозия, редкоземельного концентрата на основе окиси диспозия, оксида европия, кадмия, гафния.
