Radioprotective action of gibberellin given to seeds of Crepis capillaris L. prior to irradiation
Creators

Description
Aqueous solution (0.05%) of gibberellic acid given to dry seeds of Crepis capillaris L. 4,6,8 and 10 hours before irradiation decreases the frequency of occurrence of metaphases having chromosome aberrations. Irrespective of the degree of the post-irradiation cell mutation, the yield of chromosome aberrations, under the combined action, has been invariable. Gibberellic acid alone has no mutagenic action on chromosomes of fresh seeds of Crepis capillaris L
