Study on improving properties of the wood of pinus massoniama lamb by radiation
- 1. Fujian Coll. of Forestry, Nanping (China)
- 2. Radiation Centre of Forestry, Fuzhou, FJ (China)
Description
There are Various tests for improving properties of the wood of Pinus Massoniama Lamb, mainly in chemistry mode through which the principal defect of the Pinus has not been entirely overcome yet. Having been radiated, the pinus got a deeper colour, with more beautiful chord plane, less moisture, more organic solvent, and increased free-radical. It is very easy to take the fat out of the pinus. However no obviously changes can be found in its structure, fibe form and mechanics properties, and relative crystallinity. This will bring us a new way in inprovement and use of the pinus
