Radioactivity peak effect on RVC purification device during refueling shutdowns at Qinshan phase-Ⅱ
Description
The purpose of this paper is to verify, for the Qinshan Phase-Ⅱ project, whether the radiation shielding design of the RCV system purification devices (demineralizers and filters), based on the 0.25% clad failure rate source term and French NPP experimental data (with steadystate corrosion product concentrations), can cope with the high corrosion product activities (corresponding to the spike release phenomenon) which are encountered during refueling shutdowns.
