Description
The photoscintillator is in baryum fluoride transparent from around 200 nm and equipped with a coupling face with a detector. It is polished on its whole surface and covered, excepted on its coupling face, with a powder highly reflecting. Its form is scheduled to reduce the light path it creates, towards the photodetector. This device is to apply in time-of-flight positon tomography

Le photoscintallateur est en fluore de baryum transparent a partir d'environ 200 nm et pourvu d'une face de couplage avec un photodetecteur. Il est poli sur toute sa surface et recouvert, excepte sur sa face de couplage, d'une couche de poudre hautement reflectrice dont les grains ont une taille moyenne entre O,1 et 1 μm et qui est maintenue exempte de liquide.
