Anisotropic resistive transition in the superconductor CeRu3B2

Description

A study of the superconducting state (Tc∼1 K) of CeRu3B2 (P6/mmm) is of interest due to the strong mixed valent nature of Ce. However, all of the previous experiments for CeRu3B2 were done on the polycrystalline samples. We report the resistivity and magnetic susceptibility data along a- and c-axes of a single crystal of CeRu3B2. The present work shows anisotropic resistive transitions at ∼1 K
