Radiation emission from data display terminals
Description
An extensive collection of data has been accumulated meanwhile within the framework of design examinations for approval of equipment, the data referring to the dose rate of the X-radiation emitted by the device at a distance of 5 cm from the touchable surface, to operational characteristics such as high voltages and beam currents, and to the intended range of application. An evaluation of the data as presented in this report shows that today's technical know-how in this field and appropriate circuit design enables currently available data display terminals to operate safely within the limits set by the X-ray Ordinance. Die im Rahmen der Bauartzulassung durchzufuehrenden Bauartpruefungen ergeben ein umfangreiches Datenmaterial ueber die Dosisleistungen der von den Geraeten ausgesandten Roentgenstrahlung in 5 cm Abstand, die Hochspannung, den Strahlstrom und den Verwendungszweck. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Einhaltung der vorgeschriebenen Grenzwerte aufgrund des Standes der Bildroehrentechnik und der Schaltungsauslegung gewaehrleistet ist. (DG)
