Stability test of starch-based radiochromic dosimeter with tetrabromofenol blue indicator according to SNI ISO/ASTM 52701:2015 standard

Description

Industrial advancement in radiation procession push the needs of dosimeter. A starch-based radiochromic dosimeter produced by polytechnic institute of nuclear technology in 2017 still need to show it's compatibility with the referenced standards for widespread use and to fulfill the needs for dosimeter. A stability testing has been done to show the compatibility of jack fruit's startch radiochromic dosimeter with tetrabromophenol blue indicator with the SNI ISO/ASTM 52701:2015 standard. Stability in measurement with dosimeter is rated from the performance of the dosimeter to measure absorbed dose in various environment and irradiator condition. Stability of dose measurement in various environment condition was done by controlling the relative humidity in 10 % and 76 % also both in room temperature (25-29 °C) and cool temperature (<10 °C) in the irradiation process. Stability of dose measurement in various irradiator condition was done by controlling the dose rate in 1,2, and 5 KGy/h and by doing dose fractionation by 1,2,3,4 and 5 stages. The stability test show significant effect of environmental condition in the dose measurement process making the need for different calibration curve in different environmental condition. Dose rate and dose fractionation have no significant effect shown by the p value <α in the analysis of varians. Starch-bases radiochromic dosimeter have good stability in dose measurement shown by its uncertainty range of 2,5868 making it categorized as routine dosimeter which uncertainty ranged from 2 to 5 %.
