On kinetics of laser-produced chemical reactions
Description
Threshold effects in laser-produced chemical reactions are analyzed. It is shown experimentally that sharpness of the threshold effect with respect to the laser radiation intensity is very high: laser radiation intensity variation by only a few percent results in the reaction yield change by 2-3 orders of magnitude. In order to explain the threshold effects a model of the molecular excitation is suggested which is based on parametric interaction of molecular vibrations
