Device for the enrichment of uranium isotopes according to the nozzle enrichment process

The individual units consisting of separating elements are combined each with their heat exchangers, forming a cascade stage. These cascade stages on the other hand form sections, bounded by diametrically running partition walls in a cylindrical vessel. Below the vessel there are the compressors. The horizontal vessel is carried at the ends by shield or shell-type supports. The cooling performed by means of the heat exchangers is constructionally simplified in such a way that there are applied straight tubes passing through all of the sections, i.e. through the partitions, too. This is why there may be worked with only one single distributing chamber and one single accumulator. (DG)
