Parameterization of proton induced K-shell X-ray production cross sections for Z = 22-40
Creators
- 1. Department of Basic and Applied Sciences, Panjabi University, Patiala (India)
Description
K X-ray production cross sections by proton impact have been calculated for different elements 22≤Z≤40 at energies 0.4-2.0 MeV using Dirac Hartree Slater Model based proton ionization cross sections, X-ray emission rates based on DF the fluorescence yields form Hubbell et al. The XRP cross sections have been fitted to polynomials in E as, σχKj = ΣnαnEn; j=α,β. These fitting coefficients help to reduce the required database parameters. (author)
