Effect of 60Co gamma radiation on acrylamide aqueous solutions

Description
Data on acrylamide aqueous solution refractive index (RI) depenence on 60Co γ-radiation absorbed dose are obtained. Calculated data on RI dependence on polymerization degree are presented. Using polymer model calculations and IR-spectra it is shown that the irradiated solution RI increase is connected with oxidation processes proceeding in the formed polymer under irradiaion effect
